The Edmonton Journal’s Malcolm Mayes is considered one of the finest editorial cartooonists in the world.
Mayes joined the Edmonton Journal in 1986 and is responsible for creating five original ediorial cartoons a week. His work is featured in newspapers across North America.

In 2010 he received a lifetime achievement award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association of Canada.
